n95 masks have proved to be a great business opportunity for dealers after coming the Swine Flu in India. Following the outbreak of H1N1 flu in Pune, dealers have sold literally hundreds of thousands of n95 masks.

The price of an N95 mask ranges from Rs 70 to Rs 115.

But because of its short supply, the masks are selling in the black market at the rate of Rs.500 per mask.

City wholesaler Apoorva Shah said he sold 10,000 masks on Friday itself. "Even then, the calls haven't stopped. Before the H1N1 scare, I would probably sell 1,000 masks in a month, and that too only to institutes. But in the last one week, I have sold as many as 10,000 masks, to say nothing of the 10,000 sold on Friday."

Ritesh Oswal, owner of a medical store in the Pune Camp, said he sold 400 masks in the last seven days. "I don't think they are of much use, but everyone wants them, so we sell them," he said. Another wholesaler Anoop Gujar has sold as many as 15,000 surgical masks in the last two days.

But According to Natural News, N95 masks are useless at protecting wearers from Swine Flu.
