Work At Call Center or a Blogging?
Recently a reader has asked me the following question.
"asav hi i ananya here, i really don,t no what kind of passion u have just earning of rupee us$100 is enough.after doing so much hard work .why don,t u work for some domestic call centre u will earn part time money will be more than what u earn from international blogging don,t feel bad think for india growth no need to wake up at 5:00 a.m {itna hard work tab jakar 5-6000/-indian currency at least i am not satisfied asav tum apne liye kab jiyoge.} buy take care.friend ka e-mail id de rahi ho sorry ."
Basically this is a comment that a reader has put on my post - Asav Patel & Dot Com Lifestyle.
Well, as all of you know that I am working on this blog since last more than 2 years and I daily spend 10 hours behind this blog and right now I am earning $ 100 every month from this blog via Google AdSense.
And even after this much of hard work behind this blog, I am earning just Rs.5000 - 6000 every month and that's why many of my friends, relatives and readers ask me the above question very often.
In fact, whatever I earned from this blog, i invested that money to launch a new forum - Investta - Investors & Entrepreneurs Forum.
Thus, in true sense, i have never spend any money that I earned from this blog on myself. My Journey To Billionaire Club is a Personal Finance Blog. And teaching people about money and finance is my PASSION. And my this passion drives me to write more and more to teach people about money and finance.
The above reader has asked me to join a call center rather than doing a blogging because by doing that part time only, I will make more money than this. Well, this is really a true thing. If I want to make money than there are several varieties of jobs available in the market from which I can earn much more than $ 100 every month by doing much less work than this.
Even after spending 10 hours daily behind this blog and new forum Investta.com, I just make $ 100 every month which is a far cry from other kind of jobs available in the market.
But well, teaching people money and finance is my passion and I will continue blogging and creating articles to add values in the life of people even if I will not get paid anything. Of course, call center jobs are high paying jobs but I am doing this for my passion and my satisfaction.
Which is Better - A Call Center Job or a Blogging?
Well, obviously I will choose blogging over a job. This is because the articles and content I create today will teach people money and finance forever. Not only today's generation but the future generations will also learn from the articles collection of MJ2BC.
You can choose to do any job for money or you can start your own business around your passion. I have choose the second path means I have developed this blog business and a Personal Finance, Investors and Entrepreneurs Forum around this passion.
This is my path and I am really happy that I have chosen this path and yes, I like to see when people read and learn from my articles. Afterall I have added values in life of hundreds of thousands of people from all around the world. So What else I need?
I am happy with $ 100 per month Blogging...!!!

I agree Asav, with what you said. I have been a loyal visitor to your blog since past one month.It is very informative & spread awarness.Its hard to say what I have earned by reading your blogs but, surely I have saved a lot.Now its difficult for agents & brokers to cheat me.

You say that you are doing it today just for your passion but I really wonder whether some one who eats, drinks and sleeps money would not like to have money for himself.
I am sure you are planning to make it big in long term . Your earning from the blog would surely make more money than a call center job in long run, and you know that. May be that is the reason why you are blogging day and night.
You should be open to accept that. It is no crime to earn money if it does not involve harming anyone.

I agree with your this comment and you are very right. Working hard behind MJ2BC is a one time hard work only because it's the passive income.
If suppose today I stop working behind this blog, I will continue making the same amount of money every month for the rest of my life but the call center guy can not...!!!

Well, its an extremely sincere statement.
Basically that entire post was out of my frustration. This is because people still can't understand that if somebody is giving 10 hours a day to create a literature on money and finance than what do they think that the person who is creating a literature on money don't know that how to make money?
Your thinking is right. I would never have in blog business if It was not the great money making opportunity.
The income that i generate from this blog is the passive income while the job income is the active income.
This blog generates $100/Rs/5000 as a passive income. now, just tell me that how much money you will have to put in your bank fixed deposit to generate 5000 every month?'
It's Rs.10 Lakhs. And how much the apartment in any metro or tier 2 city of India which give 5000 monthly rental income cost you?
Not more than Rs.20 Lakhs....!!!!
So the valuation of this Asset (This Blog) is anywhere between 10-20 lakhs.
So suppose if today I sell this blog, the buyers from all around the world are ready to give me this much amount of money right now.
now, just tell me that a person who do the call center job can accumulate this much of wealth in just 2 years?....!!!!
Never....
And yes, the more old this blog becomes, the more cashflow it will generate. it is that much simple.
But I have never thought before that you can think in such a manner.

No call center job is comparable to the job you are doing, in terms of money or satisfaction or whatever it is.
